Relax. Don’t Worry. Let the SEO Be.

The author of the Complete Joy of Homebrewing has a theme throughout the book:
Relax. Don’t worry. Have a homebrew.
I would like those people who buy SEO from qualified professionals to do something similar.
SEO is not an overnight thing. Micro-managing the title tags isn’t a grand idea. Having bizarre ideas on how things SHOULD work (in your mind) but don’t is counterproductive. Especially if your SEO works on an hourly scale.
Do your research when you hire people to work on your site. Ask for transparency in their activities. But, please, relax. Don’t worry. Let your SEOs do their jobs.
